Mari García Salas
Mari was the very first customer Zurdo Elite ever had — and she's been part of the family since. She picked up padel at 40, got hooked fast, and was soon competing for her city, Lleida, then across the province.
The only thing that's ever stopped her playing is her health — most seriously, a breast-cancer diagnosis during the pandemic. She still managed more than one match while she was in treatment. Playing and writing became part of her therapy: she kept up her blog, ineedpadel.es, and turned the road from “you have cancer” to “you're clean” into a solidarity book.

Defensive Lobs
Your lob is one of your most important defensive tools.

Two lobs do two different jobs. Know which one the moment calls for.

When to use it
|
Opponent 1 is attacking. |
|
You're late. |

The ball is low. |
|
You need time. |
Target: lob behind Opponent 1 to their backhand — they can't attack it. Or it draws Opponent 2 across for a bandeja, opening space in Opponent 2's parallel.

|

Take it onto the court
A good lob resets the entire rally.
